| Several days a week you will find Nora McGee (who recently retired and now has the time to indulge herself) out at the barn, spoiling her two horses, Beau and Larissa's JAS. Nora bought her first horse Beau, a Thoroughbred, seven years ago. Unfortunately, despite competing successfully at Training Level, Beau decided that dressage was not for him and that he would rather be "hanging out at the pool with a martini" or if he had to work then English equitation and jumping (his first career) were more fun. Chris found Nora her wonderful dressage partner in July of 2003 - Larissa's JAS a 6 year old very sweet and talented Hanoverian mare. Chris and Nora showed Larissa (aka Miss Hoover - the girl does like her food) in 2004 where they had a very successful partnership with Larissa showing at Training Level (Nora) and First Level (Chris). Nora realized one of her dreams by qualifying and showing at the state championships in October, 2004, where she and Larissa placed 6th in the ABIG/USDF Training Level Championship. Nora and Larissa were also ranked 20th nationally by the USDF at Training Level (Amateur) in 2004. Nora is very thankful for the patience, training and support Chris has given her, even if a number of phrases, e.g. "tempo, tempo" are permanently etched in her brain. 2005 - Nora has qualified Larissa's JAS for First Level CDS and USDF and Christine has qualified her for Second Level CDS and USDF. 2006 - Christine qualified Larissa's JAS for both Second Level CDS and USDF. 2007 - Christine has qualified for Third Level CDS and USDF. |
